EM2 Associates was formed in early 1989 by several Silicon Valley experts in contract manufacturing of electronic devices. Our office is located in San Jose, CA and you are invited to visit our to discuss your possible requirements. The founders of EM2 have been involved with manufacturing operations in the U.S., several Asian countries, and Europe. Additionally, EM2 has many years experience with new electronic product development and introduction to the contract manufacturing environment. We provide you a complete one stop capabilities to mass produce your products as a service. We have no products of our own. We want to be your partner. Initially, EM2 was instrumental in significant developments of new semiconductor packaging designs for EEROM's, and Flash Memory products. Later we developed card embedding technology which is now being used extensively in various types of Smart Cards.

In 1996, EM2 formed EM2 P.I., located in Manila. This operation assists us with component procurement, management and some process development capabilities. EM2 P.I. is directly involved with our customers and principal contractors in Manila, Thailand, Taiwan and Singapore. We can source most components and we distribute U.S. manufactured components into the Philippines electronic market. In 1997 we formed SmARTcard Solutions, LLC. The principal activity of this new company is to manage our growing smartcard development and manufacturing business. SmARTcard Solutions has several alliances with software database experts to assist our customers with implementation of various smartcard capabilities. The core activities of SmARTcard Solutions was started by our experts starting in 1987. We have manufactured millions of modules and cards for various customers.

Principal Business
Contact and Contactless smart card manufacturing, RFID devices including fobs, tags, cards, emplantables and buttons. We also manufacture transponder devices and readers.
Product Types---laminated, printed smartcards, modules, contactless coil type cards which are fully decorated and laminated. These types of products are being used as toll collection cards, records keeping and security entry cards, government license projects, health care and varioust ransaction cards. There are many applications for this technology.

HOW DOES THIS RELATIONSHIP WORK

We enter into a non-disclosure arrangement first, so we can discuss your product in confidence. We will make a proposal to your firm for producing your new product. Your product has a certain market size which is dictated by your time to market strategy and the price you can bring your product to market. The lower the price, generally, the larger the worldwide market you have. We help you by providing the lowest possible manufacturing costs without taking extra risks.
