Card Types:
Our card sizes and shapes are designed to meet with ISO industry standard requirements.

Card Materials:
We select specially-formulated, high-grade polyvinyl chloride (PVC) materials. This PVC allows laminate construction, which produces video-quality images and yields long card life. We can also work with your specific materials should they be required.

Printing:
Four-color process is standard. Artwork for printing both sides of the card can be via camera-ready line art or electronic form.

Signature Panels:
Signature panels and other I.D. markings are available and located as specified by customer requirements.

Magnetic Stripes:
Standard magnetic stripes are available in two or three track, high or low coercivity. They may be located anywhere on the card to meet customer requirements.

I.C. Module Production

The “brains” of the smart card is the IC. Our process takes each tiny die and attaches it to the module substrate.

Next, the contact points of the die are connected to the substrate. This is done by high-speed wire bonders, using a process similar to that of a sewing machine. Both ultrasonic and thermosonic bonding techniques are available.

After making these fragile electrical connections, the die and wire are coated or “encapsulated” with a plastic to protect them from damage.

Smart Card Assembly

Before the module is combined with the card stock, it is electrically tested for proper functionality to verify that it will meet the customer’s specific requirements.

The module is then implanted into the pre-printed card stock via a specially developed embedment process. After completing a thorough quality check, each program-ready card can be given its initial, unique data personalization.
